I didn't know Spencer, but I want his friends and family to know that there are people out here in the suburbs who read of Spencer's death and are heartbroken for his loss.
It is tragic for a youth of Spencer's age to be cut off before he really get's to live, but it is doubly tragic when the loss is at the hands of another young person, and for no real cause.
I pray to God that he give peace to the hearts of Spencer's family. It will be a long journey, but faith will take you there. I am sure that Spencer, in his youth, has been welcomed home by a loving God.
I also pray, as I'm sure do many others, that this scourge of meaningless violence, of murder, will pass away. It is a burden we all share. It is a loss to all of us.
Something must be done.
