Obituary of Lottie Metner

Lottie Metner, 99, died on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at her home in North Plainfield. Born and raised in Wilkes Barre, PA, Mrs. Metner had resided in Plainfield for 25 years until moving to North Plainfield 23 years ago. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony Metner, a daughter Helen Christiansen and her grandson Anthony Metner. Surviving are her son Anthony Frank Metner and his wife Elizabeth; two daughters Marie Haberle and her husband John and Jean Bellone and her husband Pat. Mrs. Metner is survived by 24 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Wednesday February 9, 2011 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's RC Church in North Plainfield. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
