Obituary of Alma D. Smith

Alma D. Smith, 88, died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Norwood Terrace in Plainfield. Born in North Plainfield, she was a lifelong resident. Alma was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Plainfield. Her husband, Douglas M. Smith predeceased her in 2004. Surviving are two nieces, Gail Parrish of Athens, PA and Rosalyn Brown of Lutz, FL, three great nieces and three great nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 2:00 -4:00 pm with a 3:00 pm Memorial Service. Burial of her cremated remains will be held at a future date at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101 would be appreciated.
