Obituary of Max Weber
Max Weber, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. He was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Karlsruhe, Germany and North Plainfield before moving to Watchung 41 years ago.
For the past 17 years, Mr. Weber was a dedicated employee of the Watchung Board of Education. Prior to that, he owned his own construction business.
He was the past president and former chief of the Watchung Volunteer Fire Dept. and the former chairman of the board of the NJ Fireman's Home in Boonton. He was also a member of the Watchung Board of Adjustment, and the Watchung Republican Committee for many years.
He was an avid fisherman and he loved to spend time with his family and friends in Chaffey's Loch area of Southern Ontario of Canada.
Mr. Weber is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Ann Scott Weber; his son, Max Weber of Watchung and his daughter, Michelle Weber Testa and her husband Fred of Watchung.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Wilson Memorial Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd.,Watchung.
