Obituary of Genevieve Theresa O'Connor

Watchung: Ms. Genevieve Theresa O'Connor, 89, died Friday, February 25, 2011 at McAuley Hall Health Care Center in Watchung. Born and raised in Kearny, she resided in North Arlington for over 50 years before moving to Watchung in 2007. Genevieve was employed for 35 years as an administrative secretary for GAF in New York. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Jeremiah and Genevieve C. Fox O'Connor; two brothers, Eugene and Joseph O'Connor; a sister, Mary Yack and brother-in-law, Charles Yack. Surviving are a cousin, Sister Mary Innocent Dolan of McAuley Hall, Watchung, a sister-in-law Claire O'Connor, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as many friends in the North Arlington and Watchung areas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel at McAuley Hall Health Care Center, 1633 US Highway 22, Watchung followed by a 10:30 Mass. Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington immediately afterward.
