Obituary of Malcolm Omeggie Davis

Malcolm Omeggie Davis, Sr., age 63, died on Monday, March 14, 2011 at his home. Born in Neptune, he resided in Freehold most of his life before moving to Edison 5 years ago. He graduated from Freehold Borough High School, and then went on to serve in Vietnam with the U.S.M.C., he received the Purple Heart. Malcolm worked for 34 years with Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick retiring in 2006. A past member of Bethel AME Church. In his spare time he enjoyed racecars, cooking and barbequing with his family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Amelia Davis Surviving is his wife Maureen Davis; daughter Kenya Davis; sons Malcolm Davis, Jr.; Nicholas Davis and his wife Jennie and step-sons Omar Harris and Shakee Harris; a brother Robert Albert Davis Sr. and his wife Shirley; Aunt Eva Sims; niece Rochelle Davis and a nephew Robert A. Davis Jr... He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and extended family and loving friends. A visitation will be on Friday, March 18th from 9-11 a.m. at Bethel AME Church,Waterworks Rd., Freehold followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
