Obituary of Anna Marie Schneider

Anna Marie Schneider, age 102, died on Monday, March 7, 2011. She was born in Newark, grew up in Irvington and had lived in Newark and Toms River before moving to Virginia in 2000. Mrs. Schneider was a homemaker. She liked to sew, embroider and baking. She was a past member of Memorial West Presbyterian Church in Newark and was very active in the Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Alpha Sigma Sorority in Newark. Mrs. Schneider is predeceased by her husband, Ernest W. Schneider, her parents, Marie and Emil Lundberg; her brothers, John and Elmer Lundberg; her sister, Gertrude Wirth and her great-grandson, Brendan Schneider. Surviving are her sons, Roger Schneider and his wife, Dawn of Moneta, VA and Stanley Schneider and his wife Kathryn of Green Brook, NJ; her grandchildren, Pamela Schneider of Green Brook, Kenneth Schneider and his wife Maureen of Media, PA, Daniel and William Schneider of Hope, NJ, Carrie Collin of Moneta, VA and Donna Anufriyev and her husband Aleksey of Moneta, VA; her great-grandchildren, Evan and Jeremy Schneider, Alex and Natalie and Michael Anufriyev, and Raymond and Kyle Pisack. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 17th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Green Brook Fire and E.M.S., 115 Greenbrook Road, Green Brook, NJ 08812 would be appreciated.
