Obituary of Emile J. Carrar

Emile J. Carrar, age 75, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his home in Watchung surrounded by his loving family. Born in Watchung, he was a life long resident and had resided in the same house he was born in. Emile was the owner of E. J. Carrar Excavating in Watchung, which he started in the 1950's and ran until he retired in 2006. In his spare time he was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was being a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years June (Filipovicz) Carrar, his son Emile F. Carrar and his wife Christine; his daughters Corinne Stavrakis and her husband Mino and Neva Jean Heinzer and her husband Robert; sisters Pauline Kaar and Theresa Petrone; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services were private and under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
