It was always a delight to be around Gertrude. She was such an interesting and entertaining lady. We loved listening to her many travel stories. We are so sorry she will not be able to celebrate her 110th birthday on earth.
We are sure, though, there is rejoicing in heaven at her arrival.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Gertrude has blessed us with her gracious smile, deep faith in God, love of people, and especially her love of life. During the past ten years I have been privileged to listen to this amazing woman and receive some of the wisdom that flowed from simply who she was. Thank you, Gertrude. You continue to be held in prayer as I thank God for the gift you have been to me and to your friends at McAuley Hall.

Dearest Ruth and Family, My condolenses go out to you all. I know the love you had for Mom. You have all been blessed to have her for 109 years. Now she is reunited with her husband and little one. She leaves quite a legacy of a life well lived, enjoyed, service and many talents. As you go through this sad time keep talking of her life and hug each other more. Know we are all praying for you. Affectionately,
with love and Mercy, Pat

I will never forget Gertrude's smile when I would encounter her during my week-end visits with my Dad, Bob, who also lived at McAuley Hall. She always looks so lovely....
Sincere sympathy and continued prayers for her and her family.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to your family. I will always remember her smile and how she would take the time to sit down and talk to us when we were children. I loved going to her house...what I remember most about it was the piano, the slideshows, and the "square" bathtub upstairs. She led a long and full life and enjoyed every minute of it.
