Obituary of Lee D. Hughes

Lee D. "Nappa" Hughes, died on Tuesday, June 7th, 2011 at Peggy Coloney House at Hope Village in Scotch Plains. Born and raised in Newark, she lived in South Plainfield before moving to Warren 29 years ago. Lee was a homemaker who loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed travel and spending time at her home in Singer Island, FL. Lee was a member of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. Surviving is her loving husband John Hughes; her son Kevin Hughes and his wife Danielle and her grandchildren Nicolle, Tara and Sean; sisters Emily, Geraldine and Ann. Funeral Services will be on Friday, June 10th, 2011 at 9:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel in Warren. Entombment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
