Obituary of Joanne Lee Laucik

Joanne "Jo" L. Laucik, 55, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her brother George's home in Warren. Born in Newark, she was a lifelong Colonia resident, graduating from Colonia Senior High School in 1974. Jo was employed as an accounts payable clerk for Kindred HealthCare at RWJ University Hospital at Rahway for 5 years. Previously, she worked in the same capacity for Siemans Medical Systems in Iselin for 16 years and Purolator Products in Rahway for 8 years. Joanne enjoyed ceramics and crocheting. She bowled for 10 years with the Dukes Estate League in Woodbridge. Her father, John J. Laucik predeceased her in 1988 and her sister, Robin Buglioli died in 1997. Surviving are her mother, Ruth P. Brinton Laucik of Colonia; two brothers, George M. Laucik of Warren and Stephen Laucik of South Plainfield, several nieces, a nephew, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011at 9:30 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel in Warren and interment at Hazelwood Cemetery in Clark. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Haven Hospice, 65 James St., Edison, NJ 08818 would be deeply appreciated.
