Obituary of Donald J. Margaritonda

Donald John Margaritonda, age 65, died on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in Newark, was raised in Harrison and has resided in Martinsville for the past 14 years. Donald was an avid fitness enthusiast. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents, Dominic and Theresa Margaritonda and his loving father in law, Ralph Savo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Mary Lou. He was the beloved father of Donald A, Laurie and Michelle Margaritonda, loving father in law to Cindy, grandfather to Daniel and Noah, cherished son in law to Mae Savo and brother in law to Judith Savo. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass Of Resurrection at Our Lady Of the Mount Roman Catholic Church, Warren. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
