What wonderful memories of the Coatchman trip to Alaska and the reunions in Florida for the Strawberry Festival. Bob loved those Strawberry Shortcakes that were big enought for several people. However, we never did share.
Mary-Catherine loved Mr Bob on the rally 2007. Her two best buddies were Mr Bob and Mr Jerry. She remembers that trip still, when she was six.
Love to the whole family. Bob will be missed by all who knew him. Hang in there Queenie.

To say this news came as a shock is an understatement. Bob was the most even keeled person I had the pleasure to know, there was never any pulled punches or blind spots. There is a huge hole missing for the knowledge and kindness of Bob. My thoughts and prayers go out to my extended Meyer & Depew family, this is just another reminder that life is to short and certainly fragile.
Im sure he will be watching over us and joining our other lost family members.
God Speed to you Bob

Will miss you, Uncle Bob. When I was a kid, I remember standing in the driveway late one summer night at your house on Chimney Rock Rd. as you debated with my Dad about which was faster - a Martinsville FD firetruck, or a big block Mustang. Although in hindsight I think my Dad was right, you were much taller.

However it is also a truly blessed and happy time and we all come to know what we have been taught all these year in our faith that our loved one is with God and he has gotten he just reward that we are told that is the ultimate goal of our lives here. I was so saddened to learn of Mr. Ring's passing. Even though it has been many years since I last saw him, his name was frequently mentioned by my father, Robert Forsyth. I will always remember fondly watching Mr. Ring ducking his head in order to get through the doorway of our house! Mr. Ring was a lovely gentleman who will be missed by many. My condolences and prayers are extended to Mrs. Ring and family. God Bless, Hilary

When I moved to Bridgewater in 1984 I joined the fire department and immediately saw the leadership role Bob presented and I adopted him as my mentor.
He was always there for everyone, whether at a fire scene or on a personal level.
I became even closer with Bob when we were on the fire department's new building committee, where we spent nearly every waking hour together overseeing the construction activities. He was the level headed member that kept difficult discussions amicable.
He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
My love and condolences to Gail and all of the children and grandchildren. Gary
