I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Jervis. I played tennis at Copperleaf with him for 2 years, & missed him this last year when he wasn't strong enough to play. But I did get to visit with him 3 times! He was a wonderful man & a good tennis player. What an inspiration he was. He will be missed by all who knew him, but his suffering is over.
With kind thoughts,
Neal Melvin

My sincere condolences on Jervis' passing. I remember him as a member of Mountain Fitness: always cordial, a consummate gentleman.
Reading his obituary only
enhances my respect for him: as a scholar, veteran, businessman, and philanthropist. I'm sure has gracious and amiable ways have a lasting, positive effect on his family and friends. My thought are with you.
Sincerely,
Ed Halper

We always enjoyed Jervis' company, wit, and zest. We were inspired by his physical longevity and quest to "keep moving". We know how devoted he was to his family, his extended family, and to his friends and how that love was returned. Please know that we are thinking of all of you at this emotional time.
