The day I met Ed he was driving his mower, wearing green shorts, green shirt and hat. My first thought was "Did St. Patrick's Day move to August?". In that very first conversation I learned about his family & friends, the neighborhood, and that the first Jets pre-season game was just hours away. I knew immediately that I had made a life-long friend. In the years that followed, I enjoyed chatting with Ed often about our families, the neighborhood, the town, politics, and of course sports. My favorite story he told was about the time he met Joe Namath. It was the day after the Super Bowl when Namath stepped out of a hotel elevator. In a lobby full of football fans he spots Ed wearing his #12 Jets jersey. Hollywood could not write a more perfect story. God bless you my friend. You will be missed. Mark and Stephanie
