Obituary of Gladys Tombro

Gladys Delpapa Tombro, age 93, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was born in Plainfield and had lived in North Plainfield and resided in Warren for the past 48 years. Mrs. Tombro was a Sales Associate at Macy's and Tepper's Department stores, both in Plainfield. She is predeceased by her son, John Tombro in 2006. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Peggye Tombro; her grandchildren, Gwendolyn and her husband, Bill Coddington , Michelle and her husband Christopher Tracy and Melissa Tombro and her great- grandchildren, Mike and Nick. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29th at 10:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or www.stjude.org/donate.
