Obituary of Gertrude L. Santaniello

Mrs. Gertrude L. Mangold - Santaniello, nee Andres, 92, died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Seabrook Renaissance Gardens, Tinton Falls. Born in the Vailsburg section of Newark, she resided in Toms River before moving to Tinton Falls 11 years ago. Gertrude was a member of the Connecticut Farms Womens Group of Union and a choral group in Toms River. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Mangold and her brother, Arthur Andres. Surviving are a son, Roy Mangold of Plainfield; a daughter, Beverly J. Mangold of Basking Ridge; two grandchildren, Paul DeFalco and his wife, Antonella and Cheryl DeFalco-Rempfer and her husband, William, four great grandchildren, Christina, Samantha and Anthony DeFalco and April Rempfer. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 10 at 10 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery in Union. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Sol Amor Hospice, 1415 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753 would be appreciated.
