Obituary of Dorcas Barbara La Roche

Edison: Barbara La Roche, age 65, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born and raised in Guyana, she moved to the United States in October of 1974 where she lived in Brooklyn and has resided in Edison for over 24 years. She loved singing and watching game shows, especially Jeopardy, The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. Barbara loved cooking, but also loved going out to eat. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters; Charisse La Roche, Crystal La Roche, Carly Wilkerson and Caylee Ross; her brothers, Geoffrey and Winston La Roche; her sisters, Veronica Maynard and Georgina Douglas; and her grandchildren, Sydney Jackson, Xavier Long, Jordon La Roche, Jahsir Wilkerson, Brandon Ross, ShaMar Burch, and Thomas Raiford III. Viewing will be from 12-1 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2013 followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield.
