Obituary of Marjorie E. Longo

Marjorie E. Longo, 73 passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Somerset Regional Medical Center. Born in Kearny, Marjorie resided in Martinsville with her husband Nicholas. Over the years, Margie's varied interests and insatiable thirst for knowledge was a model for others around her. A long time advocate for the humane treatment of animals, she was a past volunteer of the Somerset County Animal Shelter and also had run her own dog grooming business. Known for her friendliness, caring attitude and honesty, she will be surely missed by her loving family and friends. She leaves her dedicated husband, Nicholas, her mother-in-law Frances Cramer Longo, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James (Chip) and Frances. Also surviving are her children Scott, Kevin and Laurie who reside out of state as well as her loving sister Barbara Marko. She was predeceased by her twin brother George Black of Florida in 2004. She will sadly be missed by her uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, Carmen, Melissa, Missy, Pete, Skylar, Carol & Andrew and many more grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was especially proud of her grandson Sean for their wonderful relationship over the years. The viewing will be held on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by interment at Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Warren.
