Obituary of James J. Cullen, Jr.
Warren: James J. Cullen, Jr. "Buddy", age 81, died on February 18, 2011 at his home in Warren.
Buddy attended Barrington High School in Newark, graduating in the late 1940's and then went on to join the United States Army Airborne division. He served for 10 years as a reservist and was honorably discharged in the late 1950's. He then went on to graduate from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in 1953.
James worked for JP Morgan in New York City as a banker, retiring from there after 40 years of service as an assistant vice president.
Buddy was a known pistol marksman and was a member of the New Jersey Pistol and Rifle Club.
He enjoyed cars, exercising and especially loved working in the stock market.
He is predeceased by his parents; James J. Cullen, Sr., a retired New York Police Officer and Columbia Cullen and his sister, Janice Cullen.
Surviving are several cousins from both sides of his family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Arlington Cemetery, 748 Schuyler Avenue Kearny, NJ 07032-4287.
