Obituary of Anthony Joseph Capite
Anthony J. "Dingy" Capite, 89, died Sunday, August 28, 2011, in Runnells Specialized Hospital of Union County in Berkeley Heights, NJ.
Born in Newark, NJ, Anthony resided in Hillside, NJ for 34 years and Union, NJ for 27 years.
Prior to retiring in 1981, he was a self-employed television technician for many years.
He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. Dingy was a member of the VFW Post 2433 in Union and was president of the Paramount Club, a gentleman's club in the Newark area.
His two sons, Joseph and Anthony both predeceased him.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie Capite; three daughters Mary Anne Capite and her husband Clifford Wyonch; Regina Rispoli and her husband James and Kathleen Garcia and her husband Eric; nine grandchildren Andrew Rispoli and his wife Jennifer, Stacy DiMeo and her husband Mike, Matthew Rispoli and his wife Elisa, Chelsea Rispoli, Denise Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Eric Garcia, Jr., Joseph Capite and Ashley Capite; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Stirling.
