Obituary of Edward L. Powell

Edward L. Powell, age 71, died on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wayne. He was born and raised in Linden and lived in Scotland while serving in the Air Force. He returned to the U.S. with his first wife and daughter and moved to Kenilworth. Mr. Powell was a self-employed building contractor and owned Victorian Home Repair in North Plainfield. Mr. Powell is survived by his wife of 26 years, Candace L. Tebbs Powell; his daughters, Erin Stagaard Suhrie and her husband, Mark and their daughter, Cora of Wilmington, NC, Shionna Gribbon and her husband, Bruce and their children Euan and Emma of Edinburgh, Scotland and Laurie Anderson and her husband Mark and their son Ryan also of Edinburgh, Scotland; his brother Albert Powell of Binghamton, NY and his sister, Mary Ellen Devlin and her husband, James of High Point, NC. Funeral services were private and under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung, NJ.
