Obituary of John A. Morano
John A. Morano, age 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at his home in Mamaroneck, NY. Born in the Bronx, he resided in New York and New Jersey all of his life.
John was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army. He received an Associates Degree and prior to retiring in 2001, John was a pattern maker for 50 years, most recently for Carolina Herrara in Manhattan. He was a very creative person and enjoyed painting and drawing.
Predeceased by his brother Frank Morano in 1997.
Surviving are his beloved niece Gel Spratford, husband Jim and their family all of Basking Ridge and his 3 nephews: John Morano (Eileen) of Arkansas, Frank Morano (Sue) of Warren and Edwin Morano (Hillary) of Hampton and their families. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, including his "boy" Rocky Spratford, his Rottweiler buddy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
