Obituary of Isabel Torres

Isabel Chela Torres passed peacefully from this life the morning of September 4, 2013 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Isabel was born in Brooklyn, New York but has been a Plainfield resident since 1973. Isabel is predeceased by her father Edwin Torres, brother Freddy Torres and sister, Lycy Torres. She is survived by her mother, Mariana Torres; her two sisters, Magie Rodriguez and Cathleen Torres; her brother, Edwin Torres, Jr.; her children, Glizer Middleton, Kimberly Saunders, Francisco Rodgiguez, Cheyenne Galzara, Mita Torres and Star Luna. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, Sherrod Middleton and Shakime Saunders and her grandchildren, Barbara Plantz, Sherrod Middleton, Jr., Shakime Saunders, Janay Niddleton, Anastacia Rodriguez, Harnony Saunders, Mariah Saunders, Janice Rodriguez, Ahrianna Rodriguez, Jacob White and Jeremiah Alfonso. Visitation will be on Friday, September 13th from 9 to 11 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield followed by and 11 am service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
