Obituary of Maria G. Oppedisano

Maria G. Oppedisano, 73, died Friday, December 2, 2011 at Lincoln Park Care Center in Lincoln Park, NJ. Born in Italy, she resided in Plainfield, Middlesex and North Plainfield before moving to Brighton Gardens Assisted Living in Florham Park. Maria was a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex and St. Luke's Church in North Plainfield. She was an avid reader, seamstress and world class cook who enjoyed travelling and the ocean. Surviving are two sons, David Oppedisano of Basking Ridge and Edward Oppedisano and his wife, Dareuscha of Pelham Manor, NY; a daughter, Joyce and her husband Kenneth Caruso of Basking Ridge; two brothers, Frank and Nicholas Agostino; a sister, Marisa Kaminski and three grandchildren, Isabella, Mischa and Lukyan. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 7-9 pm only.
