Obituary of Florence Flis

Florence Flis, age 90, died on Sunday December 11, 2011 at the Norwood Terrace Nursing Home in Plainfield. Ms. Flis was born in Plainfield and was a lifelong resident of Plainfield. She is a graduate of Plainfield High School, class of 1938. Prior to retiring in 1980, Ms. Flis was an underwriter for Prudential in Newark for 41 years. She is survived by her brother Stanley Flis of Winfield, IL and her sister Mildred F. Flis of Plainfield. She is also survived by four nieces. A visitation will be held on Thursday December 15, 2011 at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by a service at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
