Obituary of Marcia F. Mandell

Marcia F. Mandell, age 90, died on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she had lived in Plainfield, NJ for many years and then in Martinsville, NJ for the past 38 years. She was a 1939 graduate of Plainfield High School where she was editor of the school newspaper. Marcia worked several years as a secretary and was a homemaker. She was a member of Temple Beth-El in Plainfield and the Plainfield Jewish Community Center. Marcia was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Louis P. Mandell in 2009. She is survived by her children Erica and Barry Mandell; her sister-in-law, Ruth Treffinger, 17 adoring nieces and nephews and 29 grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 12 noon at Higgins Home For Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield, followed by the interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.
