Obituary of William L. Wylde
William L. Wylde, age 70, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2011. He resided in Nutley before moving to Warren in 1980, and lived in Bridgewater for the last 10 years.
William was passionate about his grandchildren, baseball, golf and model trains. He was an active member of youth baseball programs and served as a baseball commissioner in Warren. He also enjoyed "oldies" music and classic cars, as well as training and showing dogs.
William started as an optician in his father's business in Nutley. He transitioned into the garment business and later owned his own business in Newark. In retirement, he worked with his wife and son at the Remax Premier Office in Warren.
Predeceased by his parents William Wylde and Margaret Brenner Wylde.
William leaves his wife Florence P. (Pedalino) Wylde; sons, David L. Wylde of Bridgewater and Christian Wylde of Kirkland, WA; daughter Jennifer Lange of Boston; 5 grandchildren Sophia, Justin, Kyle, Jackson, Julia and one on the way.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 8:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, followed by a 9:00 am Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church, Warren. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
