Obituary of Angelo Deo
Angelo M. "Andy" Deo, 78, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in Newark, Andy moved to Hillside when he married in 1958 and has resided in Warren since 1972.
Andy was employed for 25 years as a hairdresser, retiring in 1962 from his own shop, Renee's Beauty Salon in Springfield. He served in the US Army as a Corporal during the Korean War.
An avid bowler, he enjoyed playing golf, cooking and spending time with his family.
His sister, Josephine Menza and brother Gregory Deo both predeceased him.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ciuba Deo; a daughter, Angela Waryn and her husband Christopher of Watchung; two sons, Carmen Deo and his wife Renee of Manahawkin and Christopher Deo and his wife Michele of Manchester and seven grandchildren, Jamie, Stephanie and Kellie Waryn, Carmen and Gabriella Deo and Brian and Matthew Deo.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 16 at 9:30 am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10 am Mass of Resurrection and Military Honors at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church in Watchung. Visitation Sunday from 2 - 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Center for Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 would be appreciated.
