Obituary of Patrick Joseph Haddican

Patrick Joseph Haddican, age 75, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 with his family by his side. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Thomas and Bessie Haddican, Patrick was one of six children. He has resided in Warren, New Jersey since 1984. Patrick honorably served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S Intrepid and the U.S.S Essex. He worked for Lucent Technologies for over forty years. In his retirement he worked for the Warren Township Board of Education. Patrick was an active member of his community. He was a communicant of Our Lady of The Mount Roman Catholic Church. He was on the Warren Recreational Commission for many years. He coached his girls and was an avid sports fan, especially for the Mets and Jets. He was a loving and involved Father, and Grandfather. He was happiest when spending time with his grandchildren, and was famous for his Italian dinners, especially his meatballs. Surviving are his beloved wife of 42 years, Eileen Haddican; his daughters, Margaret, Christine, Adrienne, and Beth Ann; his brother, Edward Haddican; and his grandchildren; Sarah, Emily, Melissa, and Cameron. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of The Mount Chapel in Warren. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. In lieu of flowers, please send donations by mail to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Attn: Development Charles B.
