Obituary of Jolynn G. Brewer

Jolynn G. Brewer, age 64, died on Monday February 6, 2012 at her home in Piscataway. Mrs. Brewer was born in Plainfield, had grown up in Westfield and resided in Scotch Plains and Piscataway. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Brewer worked as an Administrative Assistant for ATT&T in Whippany for over twenty years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Plainfield. Mrs. Brewer loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching football on Sundays and was an avid NY Giants fan. She is predeceased by her husband James Brewer in 2010; her father William Pernell; a sister Phyllis Davis and a brother Howard Pernell. Mrs. Brewer is survived by three daughters Lori Pernell of Irvington NJ, Shelley Pernell of Richmond VA and Keisha McCoy and her husband Frank of Piscataway; her mother Leatha Pernell; a brother Wayne Pernell; four sisters Carol Allen of Plainfield, Cheryl Rey of Plainfield, Beverly Pernell of Plainfield and Sondra Baird of Dunellen; six grandchildren, Sean, Nuri, Roman, Carlos, Shakil and Trevan. She is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday February 11, 2012 at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West Eighth Street Plainfield NJ from 11:30 am to 1:00pm followed by a funeral talk.
