Obituary of Audrey Edna Blasi

Audrey Edna Blasi, age 75, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Audrey was born in Elizabeth and was raised in Newark. After she was married, she and her husband, Mario moved to Montclair, followed by East Orange and Millburn and finally resided in Warren for 23 years. Mrs. Blasi was an avid reader, reading up to six books a month. She was a gourmet cook, who loved to cook for her family. She loved to knit, crochet and sew, and made many clothes for her family. Audrey loved to garden and knew everything about plants. She loved to travel and she and her family traveled throughout the world. She especially enjoyed entertaining her family. She had a strong love for interior design and loved going to tour old homes to see the designs and architecture. She is predeceased by her sister, Geraldine Iovino. Surviving are her beloved husband of 56 years, Mario P. Blasi; her children, Valerie Blasi, Robin Blasi Galiotti and Bryan Blasi and his wife, Gretchen, her two grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Blasi, her brother-in-law, Michael Iovino and her sister, Katherine Concannon and her husband, Jackie; A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
