Obituary of Leonides A. Mora
Leonides A. Mora, age 86, died on Monday, February 27, 2012, at his home in North Plainfield. Born in Oriente, Cuba he moved to the United States in 1961, and settled in North Plainfied.
Prior to retiring Leonides had worked for 25 years as a Chemist for Berkeley Chemical in Berkeley Heights. He later owned and managed several properties in NJ. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, reciting and writing poetry, music and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Predeceased by his wife Ramona A. Mora in 2004.
Surviving is his son Walter Mora and wife Perla; daughter Ana Ramos and her husband Walter; grandchildren Walter L. Mora, Jr., Walter G. Ramos, Jr. and his wife Fernanda, Jenille R. Ramos and Kristen E. Ramos; great-grandchild Walter L. Ramos; siblings Jose R. Mora and his wife Gladys, Ana M. Oliver and her husband Eulogio, Orlinda Mora and sister in law Maria Emilia Moreno.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 29th, at 8:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, North Plainfield followed by Entombment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m.
