Obituary of Sophie Wood

Sophie Balogh Wood, age 84, died on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at her home in South Plainfield. She was born in Piscataway and had lived in South Plainfield for many years. Prior to her retirement, she was an Administrative Assistant for Mack Trucks in Plainfield and Somerville for many years. She is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Wood in 2001; her parents, Frank and Sophie Torma Balogh, her brothers, Joe, Edward and Frank Balogh and her sister, Isabella Balogh Ianniello' Surviving are her sister, Alice Walters and several nephews and nieces. Also surviving is her longtime friend and neighbor, Adam Sieder. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 5th at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Nelson Memorial Park Cemetery in Piscataway. Arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung, NJ.
