Obituary of William Roger Micou
William R. Micou, age 69, of Warren died on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at his home, with his loving wife, Nancy, who for the past year has been by his side being his caregiver throughout his illness.
Born in Dublin, VA, he resided in Maryland and Somerville before moving to Warren 18 years ago. He served with the Beltsville Fire Company #411 while living in Maryland. He was also a member of the Warren Township Historical Society.
Bill retired in 1995 from Belcore in Piscataway as Executive Director after 40 years.
He received a BA degree with a double major in Math and Economics from Emory & Henry College in VA in 1964.
Bill enjoyed reading, especially mystery, spy and historical novels and also loved going on walks. He also spent numerous hours creating counted cross stitch pictures, table liners and Christmas ornaments. William had a love for food, especially for desserts.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Nancy Reinman Micou; two sons, Paul (Melissa) Micou of LaJolla, CA and John (Robin) Klinger of Flemington; a daughter, Deborah (Sean) Quillinan of Lake George, NY; a sister, Martha (Richard) Patterson of Dublin, VA; three grandchildren, Ian and Tara Quillinan and Kelsey Klinger and his lifelong friend, Buddy Keister of Titusville, FL.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. with a 4 p.m. Funeral Service at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. All are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. to process to Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Warren for the committal service.
