Obituary of Daniel Mondoro

Daniel J. Mondoro, age 83, died on Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home in Watchung. He was born and raised in South Plainfield and has resided in Watchung for the past 53 years. Daniel was a member of St. Mary's Stony Hill Roman Catholic Church in Watchung. Dan was a master "Mr. Fix it." He was known for his ability to make or repair most anything; oftentimes even crafting the required tools as well. Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Grace Mondoro; his son, Daniel J. Mondoro Jr. and his wife, Christa; his daughter, Diane Mondoro; his brother, Anthony Mondoro; his sisters, Elizabeth DiLisi and Dolores and his two granddaughters; Gianna and Giulia Mondoro. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church, Watchung. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
