Obituary of Milton C. Ballas

Milton C. Ballas, age 91, died on Thursday, April 25th, 2012, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Arginia, Greece he moved to the United States to serve in the United States Army during World War II. He has since resided in North Plainfield. Milton owned and operated Ballas Florist Inc. in North Plainfield, where he took care of the greenhouses and floral shop. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway. In his spare time he loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Surviving is his loving wife of 53 years Anastasia (Christofos) Ballas; his sons Christos M. Ballas, M.D. and his wife Nicolette and Dennis Ballas and his wife Paige; daughter Dorothea Koutsoras and her husband George; brothers Angelo and Gerasimo Ballas; sister Evanthia Pappas and his six grandchildren Demetrios and Annamaria Koutsoras, Nicholas, Paul, Stephen and Constance Ballas. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 28th at 9:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway. Interment will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
