Obituary of Edna A. Sermak

Edna (Radaszewski) Sermak, age 86, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater. Born and raised in Trenton, she lived in Plainfield for 30 years, before moving to Green Brook where she lived for 30 years. For the past year she has resided in Bridgewater. Prior to retiring Edna was a Bookkeeper with Firmac Corporation in North Plainfield. She was a member of St. Mary's Stony Hill Church in Watchung. Edna and her late husband Eugene were founding members of Polish American Cultural Endeavors. In her spare time she enjoyed flower arranging, gardening, ceramics and especially cooking Polish Cuisine. Edna loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Eugene Sermak in 2011. Surviving are her sons Andrew Sermak and Thomas Sermak and his wife Lysa; daughters Janice Callagy and her husband Patrick and Barbara Wilk and her husband Steven; 9 grandchildren Barbara, Brian, Carolann, Marianne, Rebecca, David, Allison, Daniel and Nicole; 3 great-grandchildren Jasmine, Kristofer and James. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 25th, at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Ave., Watchung followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church, Watchung. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung.
