Obituary of Elizabeth J. Sisto

Elizabeth J. Sisto, age 80, died on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She was born in Phillipsburg and grew up in Rahway before moving to Watchung in 1968. She also owned a home in Hillsboro Beach, FL. Mrs. Sisto was a home maker who loved to cook and she took many cooking classes in the 60's and 70's. She also enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Stony Hill Church. Mrs. Sisto is predeceased by her husband, John Sisto in 2003. Surviving are her sons, John M. Sisto, Jr. and his wife, Laing of Westfield, Donald E. Sisto and his wife, Ann of Basking Ridge and James P. Sisto and his wife Kathleen of Bernardsville; her daughter, Susan Sisto Cusick and her husband, George of Westfield; her sisters, Marilyn Petrosky of Boca Raton, FL and Doris Mascara of Deerfield Beach, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew, Sam, Tyler, Cole, Emily, William, Elizabeth, Lily, Christopher and Rebecca. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, June 28th at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westfield YMCA, 220 Clark St., Westfield, NJ 07090.
