Obituary of Kenneth W. Post

Kenneth W. Post, age 83, died on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Manor Care in New Providence. He was born and raised in Irvington and had lived in Watchung for the past 55 years. Mr. Post served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Upsala College in NJ. Prior to his retirement in 1989, Mr. Post was an accountant for Schering Plough in Kenilworth, NJ. He volunteered for the Watchung Recreation Commission, served as president of the Friends of the Watchung Library and had worked at the library for many years. He worked on many political campaigns and coached Little League. He had his own band in which he played the saxophone. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing the piano. Mr. Post is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jacqueline Collani Post; his sons, Mark Post of NY and David Post of CA; his brother, Robert Post of TX; his sister Lois Gaertner of NJ; and his grandchildren; Ciara, Aidan, Aria, Ava and Mia. Cremation was private and under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Watchung Library, 12 Stirling Rd., Watchung, NJ 07069.
