Obituary of Michael F. Suleski

Michael F. Suleski, age 92, died on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Greenbrook Manor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Green Brook. Born in Dupont, PA, he was raised in Avoca, PA and resided in Plainfield before moving to North Plainfield many years ago. Prior to retiring in 1990, Michael was an accountant /office manager for Croft Tools in Union, NJ for 30 years. Michael ran his own catering company from Raymond's in Westfield, having the opportunity during his career of serving two Presidents, George and Barbara Bush and Gerald and Betty Ford. Graduating from Avoca High School in Avoca, PA in 1939; he then attended Scranton Lackawanna College graduating in 1940 and Pace College, NYC with an Associate's Degree in 1946. Michael served in the Army during World War II from 1943-1946 having fought in the Battle of the Bulge, Second Invasion of Normandy Beach, Battle of Maastricht, Holland and was with the First Squad to enter Germany. He was predeceased by his wife, Beryl Leivers Suleski in 1988; his brothers, John , Joseph and William and his sisters, Stella Bayuk, Helen Fiedler and Claire Rygiel. Surviving are his daughters, Janis Weiler of Hatfield, PA and Jill Suleski of Canyon County, CA; a brother Edward Suleski in Webster, MA and granddaughter, Pamela Weiler Joseph and her husband, Nicholas of England. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27th from 9-11 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield, NJ followed by an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Helena's RC Church in Edison officiated by his godson Fr.
