Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Zegar

Elizabeth Ann Zegar, 71, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, she resided in Warren for the past 42 years. Mrs. Zegar was a registered nurse, having worked the past 25 years as a liaison nurse at Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation in West Orange. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, dancing and entertaining, especially hosting family dinners. Surviving are her husband, Frank Anthony Zegar; four daughters, Kathleen Zegar, Debora Hibbs and her husband Karl, Susan Lawrence and her husband Chris and Alison Arakelian and her husband Ken; a brother, Frank Reilly and his wife Mona; two sisters, Dolores Green and Diane Church and her husband Ed; ten grandchildren, Kayla, Connor, Sierra, Katarina, Casadi, Alexa, Reid, Madeline, Zoe and Jake and her puppy, Earl. Visitation will be held on Sunday July 29, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 9:30 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren and cremation at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to The Loeys Dietz Syndrome Foundation, P.O. Box 22468, Baltimore, MD 21203 would be appreciated. Her remains will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge at a later date.
