Obituary of Thomas Roland Michael
Thomas Roland Michael, age 62, died suddenly on September 12, 2015, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Plainfield, he grew up and had lived in Dunellen until moving to Edison in 2011. Tom was a graduate of Dunellen High School where he had played football.
He was a member of the metal workers Local 27. Tom owned and operated TR Michael Heating & Cooling in Dunellen since 1975. Tom never forgot a customer or a job. He always gave his customers the personal touch and sealed it with a handshake.
In his spare time he was a car enthusiast and had two vintage BMW's. He enjoyed rock climbing and had even traveled to the Appalachian Trail. Tom was very handy and had remodeled and flipped many homes.
Tom's greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife Edna (Johnson) Michael; his sons Adam Michael, David Dixon, Louis Dixon and his wife Stacey and Thomas Leon; his daughters Dana Genovese and her husband Peter, Stefanie Arozamina and her husband Edward, Amanda Radwan and her husband Mohammed; Twelve grandchildren; Tom's twin brother John Michael and his wife Nita and his brother George Michael and his wife Debbie; sisters Lucile McGivney and Beth Puia.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ.
