Obituary of Ruth Chambers

Ruth Chambers Plainfield: Ruth Chambers was born in Timmonsville, SC to Clara and Samuel Singletary October 26, 1914 and Ruth transitioned on November 17, 2015. She was predeceased by both her parents and loving brother Samuel, her loving sister, Adele, her loving husband, Wilbur and her only son, Frederick. Upon the death of her mother, she and her siblings moved to Wilson, NC to be with a loving Grandmother, Aunts and Uncles and lots of cousins. Eventually she moved to New York for better working opportunities. Ruth was a warm, loving, caring and giving person. She believed in giving to family, friends and the community. With this personality, she was blessed with her profession as a nurse. Ruth is survived by her devoted niece and caretaker, Jean; her dedicated driver, Pedro; her loving nieces, Nina and Keisha; her loving nephews, Rommel, Romuald, Frederick, Bryce and David. Last but not least, who were always there for her, her loving cousins, Rainey, Barnet, Tracey, Shirley, James, Donald and Kenneth. Last is her best life long friend, Charlie Mae. She will be greatly missed by her family and host of friends.
