Obituary of Kecia Cotton-Wade

Kecia Caprice Cotten-Wade, age 45, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in Newark, NJ. Born in Newburgh, NY, she had resided in Plainfield from 1970-2010 when she moved to Newark, NJ. Mrs. Cotten-Wade worked as a medical assistant at the Summit Medical Group in their pain management department in Summit, NJ. She loved all types of music and watching movies and most of all she loved her cookies-n-cream ice cream. She is predeceased by her father, Curtis Cotten. Surviving are her husband; Lamont Wade; her mother, Katie Cotten-Royster of North Carolina; 2 brothers, Curtis and Kelvin Cotten; 2 sisters, Carrie Brack and Katie Young. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and extended family and loving friends. A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield followed by a 4 p.m. service at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
