Angelo Mario Sibilia
Warren: Angelo Mario Sibilia, age 92, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Arden Court Assisted Living in Whippany. He was born in Newark and had lived in Basking Ridge from 1975 to 2012 when he moved to Warren.
Prior to his retirement in 1987, he worked at Westinghouse as a maintenance man in Bloomfield.
Mr. Sibilia served in the United States Army during World War II as an auto mechanic having been stationed in Morocco and Italy.
He enjoyed tinkering on cars and visiting with family. In his younger years, he enjoyed tennis.
Mr. Sibilia is predeceased by his wife, Mary Ferrara in 1990; his brothers, Joseph, Thomas and Victor Sibilia; his sisters, Geraldine Catugno, Jenny Salvatoriello, Winnie Zambel , Columbia Rotunda and Kelly Sibilia.
Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Sarah Jenson, Linda Sibilia, Gerard Rotundo, Jr., Anna Marie Casola, Carol Ann Garafola, Valerie Messina and Patty Folger.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20th from 4 to 6 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
