Obituary of Mary Ann Contarino

Mary Ann (Della Ventura) Schultz Contarino, age 89, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Seacrest Village in Tuckerton, NJ. Born and raised in Plainfield she had lived in North Plainfield from 1959 to 1998, before moving to Florida and most recently North Plainfield. Prior to retiring Mary Ann worked over 30 years as a real-estate and insurance broker for her own business Mary Ann Schultz Realtors in North Plainfield which she started in 1959. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph's RC Church in North Plainfield for many years. Most of all Mary Ann loved spending time with her family and will be sorely missed. Predeceased by her 1st husband Alfred W. Schultz in 1977, her 2nd husband Mario Contarino in 2009; her daughter Lisa Mary Solomon in 1996 and her son Alfred W. Schultz in 2010. Surviving is her son Robert A. Schultz of North Plainfield; 7 grandchildren and her brother Michael Della Ventura. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 3-7 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's RC Church, North Plainfield. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfield.
