Obituary of Vincenzina Curto

Vincenzina (Cancemi) Curto, age 92, died on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. Born in New York City and raised in Naro, Sicily, she resided in Summit, NJ, Scottsdale, AZ and Piscataway, NJ before moving to Middletown, NY in 2014. Prior to retiring Vincenzina had worked for Saks Fifth Ave. for many years as an expert seamstress. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Piscataway, NJ. Predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe Curto in 1997 and her grandson, Salvatore G. Roberto, Jr. in 2010. Surviving are her daughters Angela and her husband, Salvatore G. Roberto and Lena Johnson; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19th at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's RC Church, Bound Brook. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater.
