Obituary of Hellyn J. Rossi

Warren: Hellyn J. (Corsale) Rossi, age 93, died on Monday, February 15, 2016, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born and raised in Scotch Plains, she had lived in Plainfield, Flemington and most recently Warren. Hellyn was a homemaker prior to starting her career with Boroughs Electronics in Warren where she worked for many years before taking a position as a Quality Control Inspector in Flemington. She was a past member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in North Plainfield. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was an avid fan of figure skating competitions. Predeceased by eight siblings and her son-in-law Ramiro Jara. Surviving are her son Richard Rossi and his wife Linda and her daughter Ellyn Jara; 3 grandchildren Erika (Jason) Mountz, Elena (Michael) Barresi and David (Rosemarie) Jara; 6 great-grandchildren Amber, Jordan, Cole, Brayden, Andrew and Dylan and her sister, Sr. Thecla Chico. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, Warren. Entombment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.
