Neta Pringley

Obituary of Neta L. Pringley

Neta Louise Pringley was born in Plainfield, NJ to the late Duease and Tommie Myers. After a long and courageous battle with illness, Neta departed from this earthly life on March 16, 2016. Neta was educated in the public schools of Plainfield and was a graduate of Plainfield High School. Neta attended Sawyer business school, where she sharpened her secretarial skills. Neta used her outstanding secretarial skills to work at many businesses in the Plainfield area for several years. One such business was Answer Phone. At Answer Phone, she used her “wit” and humor to charm all who had the good fortune to speak to her. In later years, Neta used her compassion and love for people to serve in the medical profession; she was a nurse’s assistant and also worked at a local dentist office. Neta or “Buffy,” as she was affectionately known by her Aunt Dot and other relatives had a sharp wit and was a natural born comedian. At family parties and gatherings she was often the center of attention as she entertained everyone with hilarious and often risqué sense of humor. Neta was known for her ability to “critique” a crowd and find something funny about everyone in attendance. In addition to telling jokes “with comedic timing” Neta, was a natural born performer and loved to dance and sing. Neta was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mark Pringley on August 29, 1988 and the two resided in Plainfield together for many years. Although Neta faced many difficult hurdles in life, she never lost her ability to bring joy, love and laughter to her family and friends. Neta was predeceased by her mother and father the late Duease and Tommie Myers and her youngest brother, Gregory Myers. Neta is survived by her husband, Mark Pringley, companion and friend, Dallie C. Shell, three sons, Khorie Pringley, Gregory Pringley and Anthony Peterson; four brothers, Duease Myers Jr. of Plainfield, NJ, Elijah Myers (Helen) of New Brunswick, NJ, Reginald Ferguson Juliet) of Easton, PA, Anthony Myers (Stephanie) of Plainfield, NJ; two sisters, Darlene McPleasant of Richmond VA and Tammy Smith (Ben) of South Plainfield, NJ.
